Une perruque pour trois / A Wig for 3
Created in 2004, A Wig for 3 is a sculpture to be activated. For the video Déplacés (Displaced), the wig does not imitate nature but isolates or protects its « bearer ». It conditions his movement, his relationship to the other and his relationship to the environment. The three wigs are linked by plaits and oblige the bearers to communicate via their heads. This part of the body is grotesque due to its size, ridiculous in the influence it has over gestures and amusing in appearance.

These drawings represent oversized wigs that underline the absence of the heads. Without really referring to particular periods or folklore, these wigs are empty shells that, more than being headdresses or hairdos, could provide shelter for bodies, be « lived in ».
